Principal's Message

Dear Hermosa Drive Families,

Welcome to Hermosa Drive Elementary!

It is my honor and privilege to serve as the principal of Hermosa Drive Elementary. At Hermosa, we are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every student is valued, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.

Our dedicated staff works collaboratively to provide high-quality instruction that promotes academic excellence, critical thinking, creativity, and strong character. We believe that students thrive when they feel connected, supported, and empowered to take risks in their learning. Through meaningful relationships, high expectations, and a focus on the whole child, we strive to ensure that every student experiences success each day.

At Hermosa, our students are guided by our HAWK Expectations: Have Respect, Act Responsibly, Work Together, and Keep Safe. Equally important is our commitment to kindness. We believe that kindness creates a sense of belonging and helps build a school community where every student feels welcomed, valued, and supported. By treating others with empathy, compassion, and respect, our students learn the importance of making a positive difference in the lives of those around them.

We recognize that education is a partnership between school and home. We value the trust our families place in us and believe that open communication and collaboration are essential to student success. Together, we can create meaningful learning experiences that support the academic, social, and emotional growth of every child.

As we prepare to welcome students back on August 10, 2026, for the start of the 2026–2027 school year, I am excited about the opportunities ahead. Whether you are a returning family or new to our school community, I encourage you to stay connected, become involved, and join us in making Hermosa a place where all students can learn, lead, and thrive.
